In God’s Care
No matter how strong we are, we all have moments of weakness and need to be reminded once in awhile how much the Lord cares about EVERYTHING concerning our lives. It is possible to intellectually know that He controls everything, and still lose sight of how much He loves us and how intimately involved He is in EVERY detail of our lives. And perhaps someone needs to be reminded of that today.
These verses from Matthew 10 leave little doubt of how concerned and involved God is in our lives:
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.
30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
When you need to be reminded of God’s love, provision and protection, you can find reassurance by reading Psalm 121 and Psalm 23.
And if your husband or wife is not in your home or life today, that’s just not God’s plan for you right now, so figure out what He wants you to do TODAY, and DO it. Yesterday is gone, and mourning over what we had yesterday, does not glorify the Lord, and it certainly does not demonstrate faith that He is going to bring us a better tomorrow! So don’t let what happened yesterday ruin your today. Focus on what the Lord calls you to do today and leave the details of your tomorrow in God’s care.
