We Don’t Have To Fight The Battle!
While the last couple of weeks have been very difficult and held a great deal of personal pain and tragedy, words can’t express the joy and amazement I’ve experienced as I’ve witnessed the Lord’s hand at work during this time! I have seen His enduring faithfulness and infinite mercy and grace expressed as never before, and I’ll never be the same again. It has taken my faith and confidence in the Lord to a new level I never would have imagined possible, and I’d give anything to help everyone else experience the same amazement and joy, which is now my prayer for everyone involved in or affiliated in any way with FAM Ministries.
So many familiar Bible verses seem to have a much greater and deeper meaning now, such as Acts 10:34-35 (AMP, which says And Peter opened his mouth and said: Most certainly and thoroughly I now perceive and understand that God shows no partiality and is no respecter of persons, But in every nation he who venerates and has a reverential fear for God, treating Him with worshipful obedience and living uprightly, is acceptable to Him and sure of being received and welcomed [by Him]. And Matthew 6:33, which says But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. And Psalm 37:4-6, which says Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. And Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV), which says ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ And Isaiah 64:4, which says Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him. What an awesome difference these few verses could make IF we’d ONLY BELIEVE them! I encourage everyone standing for marriage restoration to MEDITATE on these verses, repeat them over and over again and memorize them. Because once they are embedded in your inner being, you’ll NEVER be the same again!
I greatly appreciated it when one of the FAM Fellowship members called last night to share some Bible verses that really ministered to her, because they confirmed so much of what the Lord has shown me through the last two weeks. She liked verses 17 and 20 in 2 Chronicles 20, which is an excellent chapter for all of us to STUDY, but I especially like verses 15-22, which say He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.'” Jehoshaphat bowed with his face to the ground, and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down in worship before the LORD. Then some Levites from the Kohathites and Korahites stood up and praised the LORD, the God of Israel, with very loud voice. Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful.” After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: “Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever.” As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. Hmmm. Perhaps we all could do with a LOT more singing and praising!
Joyce Meyer’s TV broadcasts last week focused on getting through tough times and painful emotions and feelings, which is so much easier to do when we realize that the battle belongs to the Lord, and we don’t have to fight the battles…that He will fight it for us! This is definitely a must see series, which you can watch at the following links:

If we’d just learn to let the Lord fight our battles, to delight in Him, seek His Kingdom and His righteousness, commit ourselves to His way, and put our trust in Him, there’s NO doubt we’d experience the promise found in Ephesians 3:20-21 (AMP), which says Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]–To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it).
