This Is The Day The Lord Has Made – Rejoice & Be Glad In It!

We’re all familiar with Psalm 118:24, because it says This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. But we often let the trials, difficulties and pain of standing for marriage restoration keep us from putting that into practice, which is something we have to change, because when we don’t rejoice in the Lord for all of the things He’s already done for us, and fail to be glad and give Him praise for everything we know he’s GOING to do for us in the future, we’re being disobedient and we’re certainly not glorifying Him. Since seeing topical verses together has a much greater impact, perhaps reading so many verses about rejoicing and why and how to rejoice will help us understand it’s importance in our lives as Christians. And these are just a few, because similar verses are sprinkled throughout the entire Bible:

Just reading and believing the above verses should be enough to make us rejoice! And if we still find it difficult, it’s important to recognize the reason, and the ONLY reason we fail to rejoice is a lack of faith and trust in the Lord, and that’s a serious problem for anyone in need of a miracle. And if we doubt that, all we have to do is read Mark 4:4-6, which says Jesus said to them, “Only in his hometown, among his relatives and in his own house is a prophet without honor.” He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. And he was amazed at their lack of faith. Never let it be said that our AWESOME, ALMIGHTY, OMNIPOTENT Lord and Savior could not perform the miracles we need and want so much in our lives just because of our lack of faith and trust in Him! But the Good News is that we CAN resolve that lack in our hearts, minds and souls by reading and studying His word, the Bible, as Romans 10:17 tells us, because it says So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So, instead of wasting this glorious day, which the Lord has made, by worrying about tomorrow and things we have no control over and no power to change, let’s be glad and rejoice in it! And TRUST God, He is not a liar! He is FAITHFUL! And His INFINITE love, mercy, power and grace endure forever! And as Jeremiah 33:3 tells us, when we call out to Him, He WILL answer us AND show us great and mighty things we do not know!
