Sharing a Powerful Message from Joyce Meyer about the Power of Peace
I want to share Joyce Meyer’s TV broadcast message from today because it’s about peace, and I particularly loved what she said about peace making us powerful! She used Mark 3 (AMP) and noted the first verse and that if we don’t understand this parable, we can’t understand any of the parables, so IT’S PRETTY IMPORTANT:
13 And He said to them, Do you not discern and understand this parable? How then is it possible for you to discern and understand all the parables?
14 The sower sows the Word.
15 The ones along the path are those who have the Word sown [in their hearts], but when they hear, Satan comes at once and [by force] takes away the message which is sown in them.
16 And in the same way the ones sown upon stony ground are those who, when they hear the Word, at once receive and accept and welcome it with joy;
17 And they have no real root in themselves, and so they endure for a little while; then when trouble or persecution arises on account of the Word, they immediately are offended (become displeased, indignant, resentful) and they stumble and fall away.
18 And the ones sown among the thorns are others who hear the Word;
19 Then the cares and anxieties of the world and distractions of the age, and the pleasure and delight and false glamour and deceitfulness of riches, and the craving and passionate desire for other things creep in and choke and suffocate the Word, and it becomes fruitless.
20 And those sown on the good (well-adapted) soil are the ones who hear the Word and receive and accept and welcome it and bear fruit–some thirty times as much as was sown, some sixty times as much, and some [even] a hundred times as much.
And then she went to James 3:18 (AMP), which powerfully speaks for itself because it says And the harvest of righteousness (of conformity to God’s will in thought and deed) is [the fruit of the seed] sown in peace by those who work for and make peace [in themselves and in others, that peace which means concord, agreement, and harmony between individuals, with undisturbedness, in a peaceful mind free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts].
Please study and meditate on these passages of scripture because they hold so much wisdom and understanding for all of us and reveal just how vitally important peace is as we stand for marriage restoration or any kind of miracle in our lives and in the lives of those we love. And this is a very powerful and important message, which I encourage everyone to listen to. It’s a two part message titled Hold Your Peace, and you can watch both of them at this link.
Be blessed and be encouraged to live and walk in peace because that is what Jesus came to enable us to do and it is one of the most powerful magnets we have to draw our spouses back to us and to the Lord; not to mention all of those we come into contact with. Peace is a very powerful force in all of our lives and something we all underestimate the importance of, especially since it’s often a lack of peace at home that drives our spouses elsewhere or keeps them from coming back home. So understanding the power and importance of peace is one of the most significant things we all must do to “get ready.” GOD IS MOVING…SO DO GET READY!!!
