He Looks Low by Lorraine Ezell
This is such an important message for everyone who may really be struggling while standing for marriage restoration and may be feeling forgotten not only by their beloved spouses, but by God as well. So I hope and pray everyone feeling abandoned or forgotten by God will take this beautiful message to heart and be blessed and encouraged!
“The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.” Psalm 33:13
Let me give you a very literal translation of this verse: “The Lord sits high, but He looks low!” He is God, He is highly exalted, He is above all, He is to be worshipped, revered and adored. He is great beyond description. It’s not in our vocabulary to be able to tell of His greatness. We are unable to articulate His majesty, His complexity and power. He is more than we can even imagine or ever know short of eternity. Yet in His greatness, He takes note of us. He looks through the portals of heaven to the deepest recesses of earth and sees you and me. Though He is high and mighty, yet He has loving-kindness, tender mercy and compassion on us. Though He sits high above the earth, He cares so deeply about us that His eyes go to and fro throughout the whole earth looking for those He can show Himself strong on behalf of.
This morning if you think that God has forgotten you, I am here to tell you that He has not. He knows exactly where you are and what you are going through. He sees everything; nothing is hid from Him. He may seem a million miles away, but His eyes are looking at you right now. He may seem untouchable, but He’s near enough to touch. He sees the “low” places in your heart- the places of pain, hurt, abuse, betrayal. He sees the tears that have fallen “low” to the ground. He hears the cry that you have “lowered” so that no one else would know that you are crying.
He may sit high, but He’s not so high that He doesn’t care about you. He’s not so high that He doesn’t know what’s going on. He may be high, but His heart leans low to embrace you. He isn’t as far away as you have felt like He was. Reach out and reach up and you will find that He is nearer than you knew.
Have a great day. He may sit high, but He is looking low… and He sees you.
