Be A Living Testimony Of Peace And Joy
As women standing for marriage restoration, which usually includes the restoration of our husbands’ walk with the Lord, or their salvation, it is SO important for us to consider and pay attention to our testimony and what kind of witness we are for the Lord. Unless our husbands and others, especially our children, see something different in us that draws them to the Lord, why should they even consider being a Christian? And if we profess to be Christians, and all they see is pain and misery, and no joy or peace, what does that say about our Lord and Savior?
Joyce Meyer started a great series this week about “enjoying everyday life”, and she referred to a verse I’ve read MANY times before, but somehow totally missed its meaning, because Hebrews 1:9 says You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.” It doesn’t get any clearer than that! As Christians, we should love righteousness and hate wickedness, and our joy is supposed to make us stand out above the people we hang out with! The following verses confirm and expound on that, and are especially applicable to anyone standing for marriage restoration:
Proverbs 12:20
There is deceit in the hearts of those who plot evil, but joy for those who promote peace.
Romans 14:17-18
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.
Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The following links are to Joyce’s TV broadcasts from Monday and Tuesday, which I hope everyone will take the time to watch, because they are very applicable to us as we represent the Lord during this challenging time in our lives.

Does God Approve of People Enjoying Their Lives? – Part II
Remember, our husbands and many others are watching us, and the victorious outcome we desire is not likely if we don’t learn how to bear the fruit of our salvation, including righteousness, peace and joy! And Romans 14:17-18 gives us a much greater understanding of Matthew 6:33, which says But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. And the same can be said for Matthew 16:15-19, which says “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” So once we have acknowledged and put our faith in Jesus as the Christ and the Son of the living God, NOTHING should keep us from living in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, which pleases God AND attracts our husbands!
