Honoring Jesus On His Birthday!
When I woke up this morning, the Lord put the following poem on my heart, so I hope it will be a blessing and glorify our most beloved Jesus! And I wish all of you the Merriest Christmas and the Happiest New Year, which it will be if we contemplate on the wonders of the first Christmas instead of the things of this world which grow strangely dim in the light and power of our Savior’s amazing love! So be blessed and encouraged!
When contemplating all the wonders of that first Christmas Day,
It’s far from easy to find the right words to say!
For that was certainly earth’s most glorious day,
Because it was when Jesus came to show the way!
And defying the dark of night, it was an incredibly bright day,
As the star’s guiding light shone where He lay!
So without a doubt, it was in reality a high holy day,
That put the splendor of God’s love on full display!
Because it was His own Son He sent to us on that most remarkable Day,
As a shepherd to keep His beloved sheep from being led astray!
And even though He was the King of Kings, it appeared to be anything but a royal day,
Because our precious Lord and Savior was laid in a manger filled with hay!
Yet the three wise men and shepherds still recognized the miracle of that blessed day,
As they came to Jesus with gifts, honor and respect to pay!
But the greatest wonder of all on that supernaturally victorious day,
Was that Jesus came to wash all of our sins away!
And He brought the hope of going to heaven with Him one awesome day,
Where He promised there for all of eternity with Him we will stay!
So to honor Jesus, our Lord and Savior, on this happiest of ANY birth day,
We thank Him and praise Him for His love and salvation as we pray!
