Our Pain is not Wasted

The following message was posted by one of the FAM Fellowship members on the private website today, and since it’s such an important and encouraging message for everyone standing for marriage restoration, I wanted to share it here too. So thank you, Dan, for sharing what the Lord showed you during your time of hybernation. And what an important thing for all of us to keep in mind; the new marriages we have after GOD restores them WILL be so much better than anything we ever had before and so much more than we ever thought possible! And God certainly will NOT waste everything we’ve been through; there wouldn’t be any glory for Jesus in that! So thanks again for reminding us of that! And may we all be blessed and encouraged! Here’s Dan’s message:

I have been snowed in for the past three days so I have had ample time to reflect on this special day for those who are in love, which includes most of us. The interesting situation for me is that I am having a very peaceful and fulfilling day. I have spent most of the day reading the Bible, watching TBN, and or praying.

One of the readings today stated; God will take us and change us into something more than we could ever have dreamed – if we refuse to give up and just keep on running the race that is set before us. I had prayed last night for encouragement to keep standing. I had no intention of giving up but it is nice to hear from God once in awhile that I am doing what he wants me to do. He has reinforced that today several times and ways.

Galatians 6:9 So lets not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

Everyone has something that hurts. God wants to use the pain to help us and to turn the table on the enemy of our soul – Satan. Disobedience is the greatest cause of misery and I am not willing to go there again. I know it is useless for my wife to go against God’s will because he will eventually open her eyes, turn her from the darkness to light and from the power of Satan to Him. I am not giving up as I will wait for God’s timetable to come about. My prayer for all of you is the patience, faith, trust and belief that God will change you and your prodigal in preparing for the “new” marriage he has planned for all of us.

He will not waste our pain or our brokenness!

Blessings,
Dan
